Description:
As a Senior Cloud Business Consultant (FinOps), you will work directly with a book of enterprise customers to align their cloud technology adoption with their business strategies in the FinOps space.
You will advise the world’s largest AWS, GCP, and Azure customers on topics related to FinOps, including cloud financial management, organizational governance, cloud economics, and cost allocation best practices.
Your role involves managing and delivering fast-paced, high-impact engagements with enterprise companies to enhance their adoption of FinOps best practices and increase cloud maturity.
You will build relationships with client-side and internal stakeholders across various business groups to drive successful engagements.
You will deliver recommendations on cloud financial management, budgets, showback and chargeback, organizational management, policy and governance, and other FinOps-related topics.
You may serve as a multi-cloud subject-matter expert, assisting clients in planning and executing the adoption and integration of cloud technologies across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
You will enable clients to understand and utilize their cloud data across both technical and non-technical business units.
You will support large contractual negotiations, such as the AWS Private Pricing Program.
Excellent data analysis skills and comfort in data presentation using tools like Excel, PowerBI, Alteryx, and SQL are required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for engaging with senior technology leaders within the organization and with customers.
Requirements:
A High School Diploma or regional equivalent is required.
A Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in a field related to the role; additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement at the manager’s discretion.
You must have 3 to 5 years of experience in Public Cloud FinOps, Cloud Consulting, or Cloud Strategy.
Foundational knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP, preferably AWS, is necessary.
A deep understanding of public cloud FinOps best practices is required, with FinOps certifications preferred.
You should have an understanding of core public cloud functionality, such as AWS organizational structure, IAM roles and policies, and Private Pricing Programs.
Strong data analysis skills and the ability to translate data into insights in a simple and elegant way are essential.
A background in business, finance, or engineering is preferred.
Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect) are preferred.
Bonus points for experience with Cloud Management Platforms (e.g., CloudHealth, Flexera, Apptio) and FinOps foundation certifications (e.g., FinOps Certified Practitioner, FOCUS Analyst).
