Description:

  • Design and implement cloud data architectures on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to create scalable, reliable, and cost-effective data solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data ingestion pipelines to efficiently collect data from various sources into cloud storage.
  • Implement data storage solutions using cloud-native services like Amazon S3, Azure Data Lake Storage, or Google Cloud Storage, optimizing for performance and scalability.
  • Create and manage data processing pipelines using frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Flink, or Google Dataflow for real-time and batch data processing.
  • Integrate data from different sources into cloud solutions, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
  • Establish data governance policies to maintain data quality, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
  • Optimize data pipelines for performance and scalability, utilizing cloud-native features to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Set up monitoring and alerting systems to track data pipeline performance and address issues promptly.
  • Document cloud data architectures, pipelines, and best practices for team collaboration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver cloud data solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers and facilitate knowledge sharing sessions within the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, focusing on cloud data technologies.
  • Proficiency in AWS, Azure, or GCP, and services like Amazon S3, Azure Data Lake Storage, or Google Cloud Storage.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala, with experience in Apache Spark or Apache Flink.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native data processing services like AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, or Google Dataflow.
  • Understanding of data integration concepts and experience integrating data in cloud environments.
  • Problem-solving skills and analytical thinking for designing and troubleshooting complex cloud data solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for working in cross-functional teams.
