Remote Senior Cloud DBA

Description:

• The Senior Cloud DBA will be responsible for managing several RDS Aurora clusters in a PCI-DSS level environment, including performance tuning, backups, disaster recovery, replication, and database architecture.
• They will have overall technical operations and monitoring responsibilities on the database layer, providing extended support for critical production systems.
• The role involves analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving database-related problems.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have an appropriate IT-related degree or relevant experience.
• 6-10 years of experience in DBA roles, with 2-3 years in a cloud-based DBA role (AWS, RDS Aurora, etc).
• Experience in maintaining large, high-volume, high-availability production database clusters.
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to analyze and optimize SQL queries.
• Advanced knowledge in data modeling and schema design.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Enthusiastic, hard-working, motivated individual with excellent communication skills.
• Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation is considered an advantage.
• Experience with Redshift, PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL solutions like MongoDB, Redis, and payments infrastructure is considered advantageous.
