Remote Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer

• Sayari’s Infrastructure team is expanding and is looking for a highly skilled Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer.
• This role is crucial for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure.
• The engineer will drive the automation of deployment processes to ensure systems are scalable, secure, and continuously integrated.
• The position requires expertise in cloud engineering and DevOps practices to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the technology stack.
• The engineer will design a robust platform that empowers the Product and Data teams, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality products on resilient infrastructure.
• Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure across IaaS providers like GCP and AWS.
• The engineer will develop, maintain, and improve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform.
• They will implement and manage Kubernetes-based environments and resolve issues related to containerized applications deployed with Helm.
• The role involves building and improving automated testing, security scanning, and monitoring of CI/CD processes.
• The engineer will develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline cloud operations and DevOps processes.
• Collaboration with the security team to implement cloud security best practices is essential.
• The engineer will support data engineers in maintaining and optimizing data tools, pipelines, and workflows.
• Leading the creation and evolution of a shared platform that supports the Product’s roadmap is a key responsibility.
• The role includes implementing comprehensive monitoring solutions and automating backup processes and failover mechanisms.
• The engineer will create and maintain detailed documentation and diagrams.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in a Cloud DevOps Engineering or a similar role.
• Extensive experience with GCP and/or AWS is required.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Kubernetes clusters is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience developing infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform.
• Excellent problem-solving skills are essential for diagnosing and resolving complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes.
• Proficiency in integrating automated testing, security scanning, and monitoring within CI/CD processes is required.
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Go are necessary.
• Experience in developing internal tools to streamline processes and increase productivity is required.
• Candidates should have experience managing and scaling large databases in a production environment.
• Excellent collaboration skills are necessary to work closely with product, data, and security teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required to articulate technical concepts and solutions effectively.

Benefits:

• The target base salary for this position ranges from $165,000 to $185,000 per year.
• In addition to the base salary, the position includes a quarterly bonus and equity.
• Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, candidate experience and expertise, and internal peer equity.
• The compensation may vary from the amounts listed above based on these factors.
