Remote Senior Cloud Engineer

Description:

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across multiple providers, with a primary focus on Azure technologies.
• Deliver data-lake-based integration and analysis services for business intelligence, data science, and machine learning efforts.
• Spearhead the implementation of infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform for automation and efficiency.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues.
• Implement robust security measures to protect cloud-based applications and data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of cloud applications.
• Lead architecture discussions with clients and team members, articulating complex solutions clearly.
• Contribute to business development activities by crafting innovative cloud engineering solutions for proposals.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

• Expert-level proficiency in Terraform and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• Extensive knowledge of Azure technologies.
• Adherence to general cloud engineering best practices.
• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for process automation.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools, especially CI/CD processes.
• Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering or related fields.
• Must be a US Citizen and eligible to obtain a public trust clearance.
