Remote Senior Cloud Engineer (311)

Description:

• The Senior Cloud Engineer will be responsible for managing the cloud platform, focusing on availability, reliability, security, and performance of the client's cloud-native systems.
• Responsibilities include automating the operation of the client platform to make it more reliable, stable, secure, and scalable as its usage grows and architecture evolves.
• Establishing tooling and best practices for observability, infrastructure as code, and configuration management.
• Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and DevOps practices throughout the organization.
• Ensuring cloud infrastructure is secure and compliant with security controls.
• Assisting with incident response procedures and maintaining operational excellence.
• Helping engineering teams with infrastructure capacity planning and execution.
• Participating in the On Call rotation and working closely with the application development team.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience building reliable, scalable, and secure cloud-native solutions.
• Strong proficiency with the AWS cloud platform.
• Deep understanding of observability best practices and tooling (DataDog, New Relic, or similar).
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud and infrastructure security.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools.
• Nice to have: Experience with at least one programming language (Python, PHP, Java, etc), cloud infrastructure migration, application containerization and orchestration, Windows Application, and relevant certifications in Cloud services.
