Description:

We are a high-growth company seeking a Staff Cloud Engineer to contribute to transforming business operations.
This role involves building next-generation cloud applications utilizing AWS, Kafka, DevOps, cloud-native technologies, containers, AI, and ML.
The position requires designing and implementing highly available, scalable, and secure cloud services.
Responsibilities include participating in code reviews, mentoring developers, and guiding technical decisions throughout the development process.
The engineer will prototype unproven concepts, automate tasks using CI/CD, and manage software release processes.
The role also involves building tools and processes for self-management within engineering teams and managing Infrastructure as Code.

Requirements:

A BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in a high-level programming language such as TypeScript, Python, or Go.
Deep knowledge of building and managing web services using REST is essential.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently are necessary.
A passion for continuous learning in cloud development is expected.
Experience in leading teams or projects is required.
Familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL and DynamoDB is necessary.
Candidates should have experience building event-driven architectures using Kafka.
Experience with high availability deployment across multiple regions and availability zones is required.
Proficiency with observability tools such as DataDog, SumoLogic, and/or CloudWatch is necessary.
Deep experience with Git is essential.
The ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative development environment is required.
Candidates should be able to lead and define cloud initiatives with other engineers.
Experience with establishing best practices in cloud code bases, including standardized unit/integration testing, is necessary.
Experience in building reusable libraries, SDKs, and shared components is required.
