Description:
As part of the Infrastructure Team, you will implement core cloud infrastructure components and infrastructure/platform for cloud-native applications.
You will create tools and services that power our Engineering teams and collaborate with them to influence the design and delivery of our footprint.
The Cloud Engineering team provides the infrastructure components that enable engineering productivity.
You will work on building and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure through infrastructure as code.
Your responsibilities include creating toolsets and services for the delivery of applications and infrastructure components, including container orchestration platforms like ECS, container provisioning engines, configuration and secrets management, provisioning Terraform modules, and managing and updating database systems.
You will develop, test, deploy, improve, and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure focusing on high availability, low latency, and cost-effectiveness.
You will work with engineering teams to develop, test, debug, and release scalable, resilient, compliant, and highly available cloud-native applications quickly.
You will participate in technical discussions and code reviews to aid system design, analysis, and troubleshooting.
You will build and improve self-service cloud infrastructure tooling to assist engineers in delivering value quickly.
You will advocate for DevOps practices and build, maintain, and own InfoSec compliance efforts by implementing and enforcing appropriate processes and standards across the organization.
Requirements:
You must have experience working with AWS.
A solid understanding of cloud networking concepts like VPCs and load balancers is required.
You should have hands-on experience with container technologies like Docker.
A good understanding of cloud security concepts, specifically IAM roles and policies, encryption keys, and security groups is necessary.
Experience working with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform is essential.
You must be able to code in at least one language or scripting language (e.g., Ruby, Python, Golang, Bash).
Some experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL is a nice to have.
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using tools like Github Actions or CircleCI is preferred.
