Description:

Nerdery is a digital product consultancy that partners with clients to enhance their digital journey and deliver value through technology.
The Senior Google Cloud Engineer is responsible for managing and implementing Google Cloud technology for customers.
This role involves designing, developing, and managing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions to meet business objectives.
The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technical best practices while optimizing cloud services.
Responsibilities include driving deployment automation, developing infrastructure as code, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
The engineer will work with both Back-End and Front-End developers to support integration and deployment efforts.
They will develop and maintain reusable templates and code for automating solution delivery and deployment.
Proactive system monitoring will be implemented to ensure the availability, performance, security, and scalability of production systems.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the software industry is required.
At least 3 years of professional experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is required.
1-2 years of experience with Terraform is necessary.
Experience with CI/CD automation and ETL/ELT on the GCP platform is required.
Candidates must have experience deploying web applications to GCP.
Strong knowledge in data encryption, networking security, firewalls, IAM, logging and monitoring, and KMS is essential.
Experience with Docker and working in a distributed, agile environment is required.
Proficiency in using Git for version control is necessary.
Familiarity with Dataflow, BigQuery, and Looker is required.
