Remote Senior Cloud Engineer, Infrastructure

Description:

• The Senior Cloud Engineer, Infrastructure position at CloudWerx involves supporting Global Engineering efforts remotely.
• The role focuses on guiding clients through their cloud journeys, from strategy and architecture design to implementation, optimization, and ongoing support.
• The position requires implementing and deploying secure, scalable, and cost-effective Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions tailored to client needs.
• Responsibilities include delivering projects from conception to completion, building strong client relationships, and sharing expertise with other engineers.
• The role involves collaborating with project managers, sales representatives, technical subject matter experts, and engineering leadership.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years of experience designing, building, and managing cloud infrastructure on GCP, AWS, or Azure, with at least 2 years on GCP.
• Proven track record of successful cloud migration or deployment projects.
• In-depth knowledge of core cloud services like Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud SQL.
• Experience with deploying workloads onto cloud services, CI/CD tooling, and cloud security best practices.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and stay current with GCP advancements.
