Description:
Acentra is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join their team, focusing on innovation and optimizing cloud operations.
The role involves working within a collaborative DevOps team to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Responsibilities include managing operations, deployments, and CI/CD tasks while ensuring deadlines are met.
The position reports to the DevOps Manager or Operations Manager and impacts high-volume healthcare data systems accessed through multiple web portals.
The engineer will maintain 24/7/365 reliability for users across multiple data centers.
Key responsibilities include individual contribution with minimal supervision, demonstrating expertise in AWS services, and applying knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm.
The role requires utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools for automating infrastructure provisioning and working within Microservices architecture.
Collaboration with the project DevOps Lead to develop and maintain DevOps processes and best practices is essential.
The engineer will prepare work instructions for source control management tools and demonstrate proficiency in scripting languages to enhance automation.
Responsibilities also include setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, performing code reviews, and participating in continuous process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree with 6–8 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 4–6 years of relevant experience is required.
Preferred majors include Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
At least 4 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer on medium to large-scale projects is necessary.
Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence for workflow management and collaboration is required.
Extensive knowledge of DevOps tools such as Linux, AWS, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, and SONAR is essential.
Hands-on experience with version control tools like Subversion and Git, as well as security scanning tools such as Fortify, is required.
Familiarity with MS Office tools, J2EE, and RDBMS concepts is necessary for efficient database management.
Working knowledge of scripting and automation tools, including Perl, shell scripting, Ant/Maven/Gradle, Java, and Makefiles, is required.
Additional qualifications include 2–4 years of hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and/or AWS Cloud, AWS Certification, advanced scripting expertise, and proficiency in Linux.

The compensation for this role is $110,000 per year, with placement in the pay range depending on experience and skill level.
