Description:

  • Acentra is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to join their team, focusing on innovation and optimizing cloud operations.
  • The role involves working within a collaborative DevOps team to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Responsibilities include managing operations, deployments, and CI/CD tasks while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • The position reports to the DevOps Manager or Operations Manager and impacts high-volume healthcare data systems accessed through multiple web portals.
  • The engineer will maintain 24/7/365 reliability for users across multiple data centers.
  • Key responsibilities include individual contribution with minimal supervision, demonstrating expertise in AWS services, and applying knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm.
  • The role requires utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools for automating infrastructure provisioning and working within Microservices architecture.
  • Collaboration with the project DevOps Lead to develop and maintain DevOps processes and best practices is essential.
  • The engineer will prepare work instructions for source control management tools and demonstrate proficiency in scripting languages to enhance automation.
  • Responsibilities also include setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, performing code reviews, and participating in continuous process improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 6–8 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 4–6 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Preferred majors include Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer on medium to large-scale projects is necessary.
  • Proficiency in JIRA and Confluence for workflow management and collaboration is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of DevOps tools such as Linux, AWS, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, and SONAR is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with version control tools like Subversion and Git, as well as security scanning tools such as Fortify, is required.
  • Familiarity with MS Office tools, J2EE, and RDBMS concepts is necessary for efficient database management.
  • Working knowledge of scripting and automation tools, including Perl, shell scripting, Ant/Maven/Gradle, Java, and Makefiles, is required.
  • Additional qualifications include 2–4 years of hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and/or AWS Cloud, AWS Certification, advanced scripting expertise, and proficiency in Linux.
