Description:

Virta Health is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support their mission of reversing obesity and type 2 diabetes through innovative care solutions.
The role involves optimizing a GCP-based Kubernetes infrastructure and enhancing security and performance.
Responsibilities include designing scalable cloud infrastructure solutions, contributing to multi-cluster Kubernetes deployment, developing infrastructure automation, implementing monitoring solutions, ensuring security compliance, maintaining documentation, and providing technical support.
Within the first 90 days, the engineer is expected to understand the system architecture, contribute to Kubernetes deployment, refine monitoring tools, and improve GCP infrastructure scalability and security.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure automation using Kubernetes, with bonus experience in Anthos on GKE.
Development experience in Go and/or Python is required.
Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation is necessary.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform, is essential.
Strong knowledge of cloud security and compliance practices is required.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies is necessary.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are a must.

Virta offers a competitive compensation range of $164,996 - $213,090 based on qualifications and experience.
