Description:
The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be part of the Infrastructure Team, focusing on implementing core cloud infrastructure components and platforms for cloud-native applications.
The role involves creating tools and services that enhance engineering productivity and collaborating with engineering teams to influence design and delivery.
The Security, Infrastructure & Platform team emphasizes scaling systems securely and efficiently, fostering a security-first engineering culture.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure through infrastructure as code, creating toolsets for application delivery, and managing various infrastructure components such as container orchestration platforms and database systems.
Within the first three months, the engineer will dive into the existing AWS cloud setup and Terraform, improve CI/CD pipelines, implement guardrails for infrastructure changes, and troubleshoot platform issues.
By six months, the engineer will lead the redesign of key infrastructure components, roll out infrastructure blueprints, own the observability stack, and drive cost-efficiency efforts.
After nine months, the engineer will co-own the internal platform roadmap, design multi-environment strategies, act as a subject matter expert in SRE and cloud security, and contribute to long-term infrastructure evolution.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience working with AWS.
A solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs and load balancers, is required.
Hands-on experience with container technologies like Docker is necessary.
Candidates should have knowledge of cloud security concepts, specifically IAM roles and policies, encryption keys, and security groups.
Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform is essential.
The ability to code in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Ruby, Python, Golang, Bash) is required.
Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL is a plus.
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or CircleCI is necessary.
