Description:
Virta Health is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join their team remotely.
The company focuses on providing a new standard of care to help people reclaim their lives, especially those affected by obesity and type 2 diabetes.
The role involves optimizing a GCP-based Kubernetes infrastructure, implementing cloud infrastructure automation, and enhancing security and performance.
Responsibilities include designing scalable cloud solutions, contributing to Kubernetes deployment, automating infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes controllers, monitoring performance, ensuring security compliance, and providing technical support.
Within the first 90 days, the engineer is expected to understand Virta's system architecture, contribute to Kubernetes deployment, enhance monitoring tools, and improve infrastructure scalability, reliability, and security.
The ideal candidate must have 5+ years of cloud infrastructure automation experience, proficiency in Kubernetes and Terraform, development skills in Go and/or Python, knowledge of cloud security practices, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, and strong problem-solving abilities.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure automation using Kubernetes, with a bonus for Anthos on GKE experience.
Proficiency in Go and/or Python development.
Hands-on experience with scripting languages like Python and Bash for automation.
Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform.
Familiarity with cloud security and compliance practices.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerization technologies.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

The compensation range for this role is $164,996 - $213,090.
