Remote Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Description:

• Tala is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and applications on AWS and GCP public cloud environments using a DevOps mindset.
• The role involves providing technical leadership to the team in driving automation of infrastructure and platform services in Public Clouds (AWS, GCP, and Azure) using Terraform and Ansible.
• Responsibilities include architecting new solutions for infrastructure and platform, designing and managing Continuous Deployment using Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and Jenkins.
• The engineer will monitor applications and services within the environments and participate in the on-call rotation to resolve issues and implement strategies to prevent future occurrences.
• Setting up intelligent application performance alerts in Datadog and ElasticSearch to identify and fix issues before they impact business services and end-users is also part of the role.
• The engineer is expected to learn about technologies outside of their realm of expertise that help drive innovation.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have over 5 years of previous experience deploying and automating infrastructure in public cloud environments, using Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform or Ansible.
• In-depth hands-on experience with at least one public Cloud platform (AWS or GCP) is required.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments is necessary.
• Familiarity with Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins or ArgoCD is essential.
• Candidates should have experience with Logging and Monitoring tools for SaaS such as Sumo, Splunk, Datadog, etc.
• Proficiency in English is required.
