Remote Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (DRW portfolio company)

Description:

• The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions for a DRW portfolio company.
• Key responsibilities include designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure across major platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
• The role involves implementing best practices for cloud security, monitoring, and performance, as well as managing and automating infrastructure setup using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Collaboration with development, product, and data teams to ensure seamless deployment and scaling of applications and services is essential.
• Monitoring cloud services for uptime, performance, and cost-effectiveness, proposing improvements, managing CI/CD pipelines, and troubleshooting infrastructure-related issues are also part of the role.
• Keeping up with industry trends and new technologies to continuously improve the infrastructure is required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required.
• 10+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or a related role is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) including architecture, security, and scaling is essential.
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible is required.
• Strong understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is necessary.
• Experience with backend systems, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and distributed systems is required.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages are necessary.
• Solid understanding of networking, VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing is essential.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI is required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems are necessary.

Benefits:

• The annual base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $200,000, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and relevant skill set.
• Base salary is only a portion of total compensation, which may also include variable compensation and/or benefits.
