Description:

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for building and managing our cloud infrastructure with a code-first mindset, specifically using AWS.
This role involves implementing data storage solutions such as S3, ERDS, and NoSQL databases.
The engineer will automate workflows using orchestration systems like Airflow and Oozie.
They will build monitoring and observability dashboards to track system performance.
Cost optimization and management of cloud resources will be a key responsibility.
The engineer will enforce security by creating and maintaining users and roles, assigning privileges, and establishing procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
On-call duties will be required to ensure system uptime 24/7.
The position also involves setting up and maintaining documentation and standards for cloud infrastructure.

Requirements:

A BS degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), Azure, or GCP.
A solid understanding of Big Data fundamentals is necessary.
Strong programming skills in Java or Python and Shell are required.
Experience with both relational and non-relational databases is essential.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation, as well as Jenkins, is required.
Knowledge of IAM and networking security is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with performance diagnostics, debugging, and performance tuning.
Familiarity with container software and platforms such as Kubernetes and ECS is important.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required.
