Jobgether is seeking a Senior Cloud Network Engineer II to join a growing infrastructure team in the United States.
This role is fully remote and offers the opportunity to be the first dedicated Cloud Network Engineer.
The engineer will lead the design, implementation, and management of resilient, scalable, and secure cloud networking architectures across AWS and Azure.
Responsibilities include expanding support for single- and multi-tenant deployments and introducing innovations like cell-based architecture.
The position requires collaboration with engineering, security, and product teams to support a rapidly scaling cloud platform.
The role combines hands-on network engineering with a strong emphasis on automation and collaboration in a remote, asynchronous work environment.
Key accountabilities include designing and implementing robust cloud network architectures, operating and monitoring existing network infrastructure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in cloud network engineering, including large-scale system design.
A deep knowledge of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, TLS), VPNs, and IPv4/IPv6 is required.
Hands-on experience with tools and technologies such as nginx, Istio, Envoy, Route 53, Calico, and cloud-native load balancers is essential.
Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) and infrastructure as code (Terraform) is necessary.
Candidates should be comfortable working remotely and asynchronously across diverse and distributed teams.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, especially in cross-functional environments, are required.
Bonus points for experience across multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes networking knowledge, defining SLAs, and implementing network performance monitoring.

The salary range for this position is $154,000–$186,300 for general U.S. locations and $171,000–$207,000 in select U.S. metro areas.
