Description:

• Centric Software is seeking a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to join their Automation and Cloud Services team.
• This position is fully remote and is only open to candidates located in Europe, working during Central European hours.
• The role involves leveraging cloud technologies and automation to build and maintain a scalable and secure platform for the Centric C8 cloud application.
• Key responsibilities include leading the development of an automation framework using Pulumi, Terraform, and Ansible, and utilizing strong Python programming skills to automate cloud operations tasks.
• The engineer will manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms, ensuring optimal performance, cost-efficiency, and security.
• The role also requires collaboration with cloud, development, and DevOps teams to meet operational needs and solve complex challenges.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related technology field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
• Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in cloud operations and infrastructure management in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• A minimum of 5 years in incident response and major incident management is necessary.
• Expertise in Pulumi or Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is required, along with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful deployments.
• Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management and automation tasks is essential.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in developing automation tools and scripts in a cloud environment, are required.
• Advanced experience with Linux and Windows systems is necessary.
• Certification in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• A solid understanding of cloud networking and security is required.
• Expert knowledge in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher is necessary.
• Experience with version control, CI, and automation tools like GitHub/Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Rundeck is required.
• Candidates should have experience in deploying and troubleshooting Java-based applications and microservices.
• Experience in deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting database technologies like MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB is necessary.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, and the ELK stack is required.
• Experience with virtualization, VPN, RDP, SSO, and Kafka is beneficial.
• Familiarity with project management tools like Confluence and Jira is advantageous.
