The company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure Cloud Specialist to join their team in Cape Town.
The role involves designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability.
Responsibilities include leading M365 tenant-to-tenant migration projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical guidance in Azure Cloud and cybersecurity.
The candidate will conduct architectural reviews, assess risks, and develop mitigation strategies for cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
The role requires managing multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously and collaborating with vendors to integrate new technologies.
Documentation of architecture designs and deployment procedures is essential for effective knowledge transfer.
The position may require providing 2nd and 3rd line support and complying with FCA regulations.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP, or PMP.
A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Cloud Specialist, focusing on Azure Cloud, M365 tenant-to-tenant migrations, and cybersecurity.
Significant experience with network security products and techniques, including firewalls, VPNs, and encryption.
Expertise in TCP/IP routing protocols and common network services, including DNS, DHCP, and load-balancing techniques.
In-depth knowledge of Azure Cloud services and strong expertise in M365 applications.
Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity principles, including identity and access management and threat detection.
Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell is a plus, and familiarity with DevOps principles is advantageous.
A proactive and adaptable individual who can work independently in a fast-paced environment.
