Description:
The Senior Cyber Defense Engineer at Accumulus Synergy will be responsible for maintaining the defensive security stance and developing innovative cybersecurity solutions.
Responsibilities include advanced threat detection, compliance standards adherence, and operationalization of cyber defense tooling.
The role involves product testing, security feature upkeep, and deploying solutions to protect digital assets.
Collaboration with the Information Security team and business units is essential for configuring and operating cyber defense systems.
The position plays a crucial role in maintaining the digital environment's integrity and advancing cybersecurity initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security or IT system administration, with a focus on security engineering.
Proficiency in security principles, tools, and technologies like firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, WAF, IAM, RBAC, Zscaler, CrowdStrike, Delinea, JAMF, and Intune.
Ability to conduct threat and vulnerability assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
Strong problem-solving skills, autonomy, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
Preferred qualifications include experience with cloud platforms, effective communication, teamwork skills, relevant certifications (Security+, SSCP, CEH), multitasking capabilities, and a commitment to continuous learning in cybersecurity.
