Description:
The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst position is a remote role based in Brazil, focusing on computer network security and malware trends.
The analyst will work on classifying files from clients that require expert human malware analysis, determining if files are malicious or benign under a service level agreement (SLA).
The role involves analyzing current malware trends and participating in the Attestation Service, which is a key feature of the Adaptive Defense platform.
The position includes a structured 30/60/90-day training plan, starting with basic malware analysis and progressing to advanced techniques and hands-on classification work.
Responsibilities include classifying files, joining a team of malware analysts, analyzing and detecting the latest malware, identifying potentially unwanted programs (PUPs), and creating technical reports on new critical malware.
Continuous learning and participation in technological projects are emphasized, along with maintaining a positive working environment.
Requirements:
Candidates must have knowledge of malware analysis and reverse engineering of binaries, with at least 1 year of experience in malware analysis (2 years preferred).
Experience working with malware in a lab setting and knowledge of cybersecurity principles are required.
Proficiency in reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, OllyDBG, and WinDBG is necessary, along with the ability to develop extensions and scripts for these tools.
Knowledge of Windows APIs, user-space and kernel-space, virtualization, and emulation is essential.
Candidates should be familiar with programming languages such as C, C++, and Python, as well as other languages like .Net, Java, JavaScript, VBScript, and PowerShell.
Additional knowledge of iOS and Android platforms, as well as pen testing and ethical hacking, is a plus.
The ability to work as part of a team with shared goals and under an SLA is required.
