Remote Senior Cybersecurity Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer at AstroPay is responsible for safeguarding the company's information assets by identifying and mitigating cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities in the AWS environment and applications.
• Conducting risk assessments, vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and security audits to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data, systems, and networks.
• Implementing and maintaining security controls and policies compliant with industry standards like PCI-DSS, GDPR, NIST 800, NIST CSF, ISO27001, and other cybersecurity frameworks.
• Providing guidance to development teams on secure coding practices and designing secure applications following OWASP standards.
• Monitoring security logs and alerts, responding to security incidents, and developing incident response plans.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure a comprehensive approach to cybersecurity.
• Staying updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to enhance the company's security posture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or related field.
• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience, preferably in the fintech industry.
• Hands-on experience with AWS security, networking, and architecture.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices like PCI-DSS, GDPR, NIST 800, NIST CSF, ISO27001, and OWASP.
• Experience in incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with web application security and secure coding practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent.
