Description:
UltraViolet Cyber is a leading platform-enabled unified security operations company providing a comprehensive suite of security operations solutions.

The Cloud Operations Enablement Services team is seeking an experienced engineer to assist in delivering a global workload identity service.
The role involves establishing a new platform based on the SPIFFE reference architecture to accurately attest workloads and assign verifiable identity documents in the form of x509 certificates.
The engineer will be instrumental in building a new Tier Zero service at a large SaaS corporation, which will serve as a foundation platform for future efforts including a global Service Mesh.
Responsibilities include architecting a cloud compute platform based on SPIFFE, performing SRE roles such as deployment, capacity management, observability, and performance tuning, collaborating with the Security Architecture team, and supporting engineering teams onboarding to the new service.
Requirements:
Proficiency in operating and supporting cloud-based services using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform is required.
Proven experience as a systems administrator or service reliability engineer is necessary.
Experience with CI/CD processes and source control mechanisms, particularly GitHub, is essential.
A solid understanding of cryptography, including x509 certificates, is required.
Knowledge of federated trust models for identity and security is necessary.
Understanding and use of public cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is required.
A strong focus on prioritizing customer experience and support is essential.
The ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with customers and leadership is required.
