Description:
As a Data Analyst in the Product Division, you will utilize data from over 65 million users and 2.35 million merchants to enhance the PayPay ecosystem, making it more convenient and beneficial.
Your data analysis support will aim at increasing the number of users and user engagement, contributing to PayPay's growth and revenue.
You will support product managers and executives in their decision-making with reliable data analysis.
You will promote your own ideas and interesting cases from other companies with data, proposing development and improvements for products and features.
You will design and propose product KPIs, providing and maintaining relevant dashboards for monitoring.
You will engage in activities to nurture and grow the newly established product data analyst team, including knowledge sharing and introducing new tools.
You will collaborate with business planning, marketing, and sales analysts to share analytical knowledge and collaborate on projects.
You will design and build data warehouses and data marts for your products, making product data accessible for others to utilize.
You will provide technical leadership and coaching to team members, promoting the overall contribution of the data analyst team to the business.
The tech environment includes BigQuery, LookerStudio, JupyterLab, GoogleAnalytics, dbt, and GitHub.
Requirements:
You must have over 5 years of experience in data analysis.
You should have team leadership experience.
You must demonstrate a proven ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.
Business-level English proficiency is required.
Japanese proficiency equivalent to JLPT N2 is necessary.
Preferred qualifications include management experience in a data analyst team, experience in building a new data analysis team or department, and experience in promoting a data-driven culture within a company.
Experience in analyzing large-scale data and building data warehouses/data marts is desirable.
You should possess insight in understanding business challenges and goals to apply data analysis results to business needs.
Expertise in statistics, including understanding correlation, causation, and various tests, is preferred.
Skills in designing, validating, visualizing, and reporting A/B tests are also desired.

The position offers full-time employment with the option to work from anywhere in Japan.
You will have super flex time with no core time, typically working from 10:00 am to 6:45 pm.
Holidays include every Saturday, Sunday, national holidays in Japan, New Year's break, and company-designated special days.
Paid leave includes annual leave (up to 14 days in the first year) and personal leave (5 days each year).
The salary is annual, paid in 12 installments, based on skills, experience, and abilities, with annual reviews and a special incentive based on company performance.
