Description:
Monarch is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to work cross-functionally across marketing, product, finance, and operations.
The role involves building infrastructure, enabling data-driven decision-making, and providing accurate analysis to solve complex business problems.
The candidate will be an early member of the data team and must thrive in a fast-paced environment, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of creating new solutions.
Responsibilities include building and improving data infrastructure, enabling self-service analytics, managing end-to-end analytics projects, delivering strategic insights, and understanding user behavior.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience in a data analyst or similar role, preferably at a growth-stage company.
Candidates must demonstrate curiosity and adaptability, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and balance speed with accuracy.
Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into actionable steps, and clearly communicating roadblocks.
Expert-level SQL skills are required, including advanced features such as window functions and creating new tables.
Hands-on experience with BI/data visualization tools (specifically Omni), product analytics platforms (specifically Amplitude), DBT or similar tools for data transformation, and data warehouses (specifically Snowflake) is necessary.
Experience in consumer subscription analytics and in an early-stage, high-growth startup is considered a plus.
