Description:
Cohere Health is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join their team and ensure that data in their platform is validated, cleaned, and ready for reporting and analytics work.
The role involves close collaboration with business intelligence, clinical program, product, and engineering teams to understand data needs, validate ETL summary reports, monitor jobs, and troubleshoot complex issues.
The work environment is fast-paced and project-based, requiring scrappiness, flexibility, curiosity, and grace under pressure.

Responsibilities include managing medical saving production data jobs, enhancing data quality processes, developing ETL summary reports, coordinating with engineering for automation, and maintaining a comprehensive data issue log.
The analyst will also monitor daily data refresh jobs, perform quality checks, and map target data requirements.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of data experience in a healthcare analytics or population health organization where health outcomes were critical.
A passion for improving the U.S. healthcare system and ensuring optimal patient care is essential.
The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, able to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
Proficiency in ETL infrastructure and languages such as Spark, PySpark, Python, and SQL is required.
Extensive experience in deploying and managing ETL pipelines using Apache Airflow is necessary.
Familiarity with AWS suite tools, including Athena, Sagemaker, Glue, EMR, and CloudWatch, is important.
Strong analysis and validation skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills for working with end users, are required.
Knowledge of STARs, HEDIS, and other clinical/financial metrics in healthcare is preferred.
Candidates should be able to work with large data sets to identify trends, errors, and gaps, and manage multiple projects concurrently.
Strong skills in Excel and other MS Office tools are necessary, and experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Salesforce, and Kibana is preferred.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM, public health, finance, economics, or a related field is required.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000 annually.
The total benefits package includes health insurance, a 401k plan, and bonus opportunities.
