Description:
Thrive Market is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to build the data infrastructure at the heart of the business as it continues to grow rapidly.
The role involves leading end-to-end execution of data projects, managing timelines, and aligning priorities with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure business impact.
The Senior Data Analyst will deliver high-quality data insights and build scalable data products that support decision-making across the company.
Responsibilities include identifying and resolving data integrity issues, collaborating with data management areas, performing data source gap analysis, and developing a thorough understanding of user behavior patterns.
The analyst will create dashboards, visualizations, and datasets that provide actionable insights on subscriber acquisition and merchandising.
The position requires serving as a liaison for Product Management teams and responding to ad-hoc reporting needs while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
The role demands adaptability in a fast-paced environment and the ability to leverage external industry data for strategic insights.
Requirements:
Candidates must hold an M.S. or Ph.D. degree in statistics, computer science, operations research, computational physics, or a related field.
A minimum of 7 years of work experience in data science and/or data analytics is required.
Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language (Java, Scala, Python, C++, SQL) is necessary.
Experience with large-scale data analysis in Hive or Spark is a plus, along with familiarity with Snowflake or similar databases.
Candidates should have experience in e-commerce and/or subscription businesses, as well as strong data visualization skills using tools like Domo or Tableau.
Strong communication skills to convey insights to non-technical stakeholders are essential.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate intellectual curiosity, flexibility, and a proactive mindset, along with good leadership skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Proficiency in web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel) and business intelligence dashboarding tools is required, with A/B testing experience being a plus.
