Description:

Supabase is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to analyze usage data and provide insights that drive product and business decisions.
The role involves uncovering key insights by analyzing user behavior, platform usage patterns, and growth funnels to guide product roadmaps and marketing strategies.
The analyst will build actionable dashboards and self-serve analytics solutions for cross-functional teams, ensuring crucial information is accessible quickly.
Responsibilities include designing and evaluating experiments to improve developer success, retention, and product adoption.
The analyst will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize analytics needs.
The role requires evolving data pipelines, transforming raw inputs into well-modeled tables, and maintaining high-quality data using tools like BigQuery, dbt, and Hex.
As a senior member, the analyst will mentor junior analysts and set best practices for analytics within the company.

Requirements:

Candidates must have hands-on analytics experience, including proficiency in writing complex SQL and working with data warehouses.
Familiarity with modern data stacks, including event capture tools (e.g., PostHog, Segment), warehousing solutions (BigQuery or Snowflake), and transformation layers (dbt or Airflow) is required.
A strategic and curious mindset is essential, with the ability to identify patterns in data and connect user behavior to business outcomes.
Strong communication skills are necessary to translate complex data into understandable insights for non-technical audiences.
A bias for action is important, with the ability to quickly move from questions to data exploration and propose new ideas.
Candidates should have 3–5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a high-growth startup or data-driven tech company.
