Description:
The Muse is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join their remote team in Canada.
The role involves collaborating with various teams, including email marketing, editorial, account management, sales, marketing, tech, data engineering, and product.
The candidate will translate business requirements into actionable insights and deliverables.
Responsibilities include creating innovative analyses to assess The Muse's performance and drive analytical products for customer needs.
The analyst will derive insights from data related to client success, sales, product, and operations, and lead efforts to evaluate client success.
The position requires working primarily during business hours of 9-5pm (GMT-5).
Key responsibilities include engaging with cross-functional teams, implementing enhancements to reporting and analytics processes, designing analytical standards, providing actionable reporting, and delivering dashboards for data-driven decision-making.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics, with a proven ability to present data to non-technical audiences, including executives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to discuss analytical findings in a non-technical manner.
Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills are essential.
Proficiency in SQL, R, or Python for data analysis, with the ability to use Excel or Sheets for pivot tables and vlookups.
Familiarity with Looker or other business intelligence tools is required.
The candidate should be a "data detective," capable of investigating issues to identify root causes and ensure data quality.
Must be an innovative team player who can work independently and drive data initiatives.
Ability to convert stakeholder requests into technical requirements to meet business needs.
A passion for customer experience with an empathetic, analytical, and modern product practice mindset is necessary.
The candidate should manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with SEO and performance marketing techniques is preferred.
Media and/or HR experience is a plus.
Benefits:
The estimated annual salary for this position ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 CAD, depending on seniority and equity.
