Description:

The Senior Data Architect position is a remote, full-time role for an experienced individual with strong communication skills to guide, influence, and convince multiple stakeholders and technology peers.
The role involves shaping data architecture and strategy to enable organizations to build scalable and efficient data solutions that support business objectives.
The candidate will assess the current state of data architecture, solutions, principles, policies, and standards, identifying areas for enhancement and optimization.
The architect will define the future state data architecture, bridging strategic vision and technical execution with a focus on business strategy.
Collaboration with stakeholders and other capability team members is essential to translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable solutions.
The role includes designing and developing data platforms to ingest, store, process, and analyze large structured and unstructured data sets from various sources.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, with a preference for a master’s degree.
The candidate must have 9+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a similar role, preferably in the IT services and consulting industry.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in cloud data architecture, preferably with Azure, is required.
Hands-on experience in designing and implementing data solutions and pipelines using cloud technologies and modern data stack tools like Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Snowflake, and Airflow is necessary.
Extensive knowledge of data warehousing/lake architectures, data modeling, data integration techniques, and big data processing frameworks is essential.
Strong programming skills in SQL and either Python, Java, or Scala are required.
Familiarity with data governance principles, data quality management, and data security best practices is necessary.
The candidate should possess problem-solving and communication skills to effectively work with both technical and business teams.
