Description:
Kyruus Health is seeking a Senior Data Architect to connect people to the right care and improve the healthcare system.
The role involves providing architectural data guidance to all products and services, acting as a technical advisor to C-suite executives and department heads.
The Senior Data Architect will design, build, and maintain a domain-driven data mesh architecture that ensures secure data storage, access control, and centralized governance.
Responsibilities include establishing best practices for coding, testing, CI/CD pipelines, security, and performance optimization, while driving continuous improvements in architecture.
The position requires collaboration with engineering teams, DevOps, and QA to align project goals and ensure successful product delivery.
The architect will ensure high availability and reliability of the data platform, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement monitoring systems.
Risk management is crucial, including identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies while ensuring compliance with SOC2, HiTrust, and HIPAA regulations.
The role offers growth opportunities, including a structured onboarding process, potential advancement to Principal Data Architect, and options for lateral moves within the organization.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 12+ years of software engineering experience, with hands-on experience in building, maintaining, and scaling data systems.
A minimum of 5 years as a tech lead is required, successfully converting business/product requirements into well-architected designs.
Extensive experience in building and scaling large data pipelines, including real-time processing and transformations over 100 GB using Java, Python, DBT, and SQL is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with business intelligence tools such as Looker and PowerBI.
A deep knowledge of data technology stacks like GCP BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, and Datalake architecture on AWS S3 or GCP Cloud storage is essential.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud-native API solutions is required.
Candidates must possess strong knowledge of data modeling, governance control, RESTful API design principles, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, containerization, version control, and performance optimization techniques is necessary.
Strong leadership and communication skills are required to influence cross-functional teams and communicate technical details to non-technical stakeholders.
A proven problem-solving ability and a positive attitude towards work challenges are essential.
Preferred skills include experience in the healthcare industry, knowledge of EHR integrations, and managing data contracts.
Benefits:
The base pay range for this position is $160,000 - $180,000 per year, with eligibility for an annual bonus program, equity, and benefits.
