Description:
Sinch is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join their Data Warehouse team.
The role involves contributing to the development, maintenance, and optimization of the data infrastructure for the Modern Data Warehouse and all products globally.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that integrate data from corporate systems into the enterprise data warehouse using tools like Databricks, Delta Lake, dbt, and Snowflake.
The Data Engineer will optimize data pipeline performance and scalability, ensuring high availability and reliability across all systems.
Monitoring and troubleshooting data workflows is essential to ensure production systems are healthy and issues are resolved quickly.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams is required to enhance the enterprise data warehouse with new capabilities that meet evolving business needs.
The role includes building highly scalable, distributed data systems that are globally available.
Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies is necessary to continuously improve the data architecture.
Participation in an on-call rotation to support business-critical data infrastructure is expected.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on data engineering.
Strong experience with cloud platforms, particularly Snowflake, and data storage solutions like Delta Lake or Iceberg is required.
A deep understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline architecture is necessary, with experience in DBT Cloud and Databricks being a plus.
Expertise in SQL and data modeling is essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this position.
