Description:
Evolve is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Data & Analytics Engineering team, which is crucial for enabling data-informed decisions across the organization.
The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, data analysts, and engineers to build a solid data foundation.
Responsibilities include mentoring team members, translating complex business logic into technical solutions, and optimizing data pipelines using tools like Fivetran, dbt, Prefect, and Python.
The Senior Data Engineer will design and implement data structures in Snowflake, curate data for analytics, and automate monitoring processes for data quality.
The position requires maintaining and optimizing Evolve’s cloud data platform and managing scheduled data ingestion and transformation processes.
The role also involves researching and implementing new tools to enhance Evolve’s data ecosystem and defining quality standards for various data tools.
Collaboration duties include code reviews, technical documentation, and providing advanced data ingestion support.
The Senior Data Engineer will partner with stakeholders to develop scalable solutions and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in a developer, architect, engineer, or DBA role working with large data sets.
A subject matter expert in data ingestion concepts and best practices is required.
Expertise in data pipeline design, development, and automation is essential.
Advanced SQL skills and experience coding with Python are required.
Familiarity with Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, Tableau, and AWS is preferred.
Experience with Git version control and advanced ELT tool administration is necessary.
Candidates should have expertise in cloud-based data warehouses and extracting raw data from APIs.
Strong communication skills to explain complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences are required.
A collegial attitude and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities are essential.
