The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for building and managing a modern data platform.
Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and infrastructure to enable data-driven decisions.
The role involves implementing data quality checks, monitoring, and contributing to data governance practices.
The engineer will develop and optimize data models using dbt for analytics and operational use cases.
Troubleshooting data issues and assisting with tracking implementation problems is also part of the job.
The data infrastructure must support downstream consumers, including analytics and future AI/ML initiatives.
Collaboration with analysts and stakeholders is essential to ensure data accessibility for visualization and operational syncing.
The engineer will also focus on optimizing performance and cost-efficiency of the data platform and mentor team members on best practices.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in data engineering with significant hands-on experience using modern data stack tools.
Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks are required, along with strong data modeling and warehousing fundamentals.
Proven experience with orchestration tools (e.g., mage.ai, Airflow), dbt, and ELT solutions (e.g., Fivetran, Airbyte) is necessary.
Experience with a cloud platform such as GCP, AWS, or Azure is essential.
A track record of building and maintaining reliable, end-to-end data pipelines in production is required.
Candidates must be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are a must.
