Description:

  • Xometry is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Marketplace Services team in Greater Buenos Aires.
  • The role involves building and maintaining core data pipelines and models to understand key business performance.
  • The candidate will collaborate closely with engineers and product managers as part of an autonomous, cross-functional team.
  • Responsibilities include building analytics models that provide actionable insights into business performance metrics.
  • The engineer will develop data models for analytics and data science teams to assist in building and optimizing data.
  • Maintenance of data pipelines and implementation of requested changes or alterations is required.
  • The role also involves developing deployment and release functionalities through software integration to support devops and CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, or relevant experience in the field.
  • The candidate should have 3-5+ years of experience as a software engineer or data engineer in a fast-paced, technical, problem-solving environment.
  • Experience with Cloud Data Warehouses, specifically Snowflake, is necessary.
  • The candidate must be an expert in SQL and have expertise in ETL, data modeling, and version control, with dbt and GitHub preferred.
  • Knowledge of data modeling best practices for both transactional and analytical processing is required.
  • Experience with data extraction tools such as Fivetran or Airbyte is necessary.
  • Familiarity with event tracking software like Segment or Tealium is required.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or JavaScript is expected.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools, particularly Looker, is preferred.
  • The candidate must possess effective communication skills and the ability to influence others.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly is essential.
  • The candidate must be able to work core aligned hours to US Eastern Time / GMT-5.
