Description:
The Senior Data Engineer will work with scrum teams to deliver product stories based on priorities set by customers and Product Owners.
The role involves interacting with stakeholders and providing knowledge transfer to other team members.
The engineer will work with big data pipelines into Microsoft BI technologies as a BI Developer.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and technologies, including DMS, Glue, and Step Functions.
Knowledge in RDBMS is required.
Strong experience with Python and Typescript is essential.
Candidates should be knowledgeable in data workload/job orchestration and batch automation technologies, including Linux shell scripting and process orchestration tools.
Experience in designing and building data environments to support reporting and analytics, including data integrations and flow between disparate data systems, is necessary.
Experience with data modeling, data engineering, and/or data warehouse building is required.
The candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to work with little direction.
Strong critical thinking skills, natural intellectual curiosity, and strong analytical skills are essential.
Strong communication (verbal/written) and presentation skills are required.
Proficiency in AWS data pipelines in a financial organization is necessary.
Experience writing, troubleshooting, and optimizing T-SQL queries is required.
Experience with Azure SQL is necessary.
Candidates should have experience designing and implementing Microsoft Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards.
Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio and/or Azure Data Studio is required.
