Description:

  • The Senior Data Engineer will work with scrum teams to deliver product stories based on priorities set by customers and Product Owners.
  • The role involves interacting with stakeholders and providing knowledge transfer to other team members.
  • The engineer will work with big data pipelines into Microsoft BI technologies as a BI Developer.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and technologies, including DMS, Glue, and Step Functions.
  • Knowledge in RDBMS is required.
  • Strong experience with Python and Typescript is essential.
  • Candidates should be knowledgeable in data workload/job orchestration and batch automation technologies, including Linux shell scripting and process orchestration tools.
  • Experience in designing and building data environments to support reporting and analytics, including data integrations and flow between disparate data systems, is necessary.
  • Experience with data modeling, data engineering, and/or data warehouse building is required.
  • The candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to work with little direction.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, natural intellectual curiosity, and strong analytical skills are essential.
  • Strong communication (verbal/written) and presentation skills are required.
  • Proficiency in AWS data pipelines in a financial organization is necessary.
  • Experience writing, troubleshooting, and optimizing T-SQL queries is required.
  • Experience with Azure SQL is necessary.
  • Candidates should have experience designing and implementing Microsoft Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio and/or Azure Data Studio is required.
