Description:

The Senior Data Engineer position at Overjet involves designing, developing, and implementing data pipelines to process data from patient management systems and digital imaging systems.
The role requires collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Machine Learning engineers and product managers.
Responsibilities also include conducting data mapping and data modeling activities, building a framework for automated product rollout to new customers, and guiding the development of data resources.
The position entails participating in regular and ad-hoc on-call rotations as part of the core job responsibilities.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years of data-related experience.
Strong programming skills in Python and C# are required, with the ability to write efficient and maintainable code.
Proficiency in SQL, familiarity with data modeling, and database design principles are essential.
Experience working with cloud vendors (GCP/AWS/Azure), especially using infrastructure-as-code software like Terraform, is necessary.
Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration is a must.
Experience with Practice Management Systems or electronic health records (EHR) is a plus but not required.
Familiarity with data security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA) and experience with sensitive patient data is advantageous.
