Description:

  • The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and automating data pipelines.
  • They will lead complex data projects, architect technical initiatives, and ensure scalability and performance of data solutions.
  • The role involves strategic planning, collaboration with senior management, and mentoring other engineers.
  • Responsibilities include pushing delivery speed and quality of data ELT, implementing innovative tooling and architecture patterns, and fostering a culture of data engineering excellence.

  • The Senior Data Engineer will work on the Polaris platform, a modern data and marketing intelligence platform at Wpromote.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7+ years of software development experience with expertise in Python, SQL, and data pipelines.
  • Experience in building and automating ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow or similar workflow management software.
  • Proficiency in managing dbt models with macros and tests, Python scripting, API integrations, and software architecture.
  • Deep understanding of databases like PostgreSQL and BigQuery, including query optimization.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools like Looker, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Knowledge of advanced data formats, data integration techniques, monitoring, logging tools, version control systems, and CI/CD tools.
  • Strong command of agile methodologies, continuous integration, and test-driven development.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, technical leadership, and ability to guide cross-functional teams and projects.
