The organization is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Ops team to build a robust and scalable data foundation for data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data architectures and pipelines for enterprise-wide data initiatives.
The role involves taking ownership of data architecture responsibilities, leading complex data engineering projects, and collaborating with various stakeholders.
The Senior Data Engineer will partner with engineering teams to manage and transform data platforms, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
The position requires close collaboration with data engineers, architects, and analysts to create a unified data infrastructure.
The engineer will work with Data Refinery and Data Products teams to deliver high-quality datasets and collaborate with IT and Cloud teams for optimal data platform performance.
Monitoring data flows and pipelines, resolving issues, and contributing to data governance and best practices are also key responsibilities.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields, with a proven track record in architecting and managing enterprise-scale data solutions.
Strong experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake and AWS, as well as ETL/ELT frameworks like Five Tran and dbt Core/Cloud, is required.
Proven ability to lead complex data projects and work closely with both business and technical stakeholders is essential.
Experience in data architecture and designing scalable, reliable data pipelines and platforms is necessary.
Expertise in SQL, Python, or similar programming languages for data manipulation and automation is required.
Familiarity with data warehousing, data governance, and metadata management practices is important.
Candidates should possess exceptional problem-solving skills and a passion for improving data operations and platforms.
Excellent communication skills are needed to translate technical concepts into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
Experience in robust data governance and security practices, as well as setting up automated data quality monitoring processes, is required.
