Restore Hyper Wellness is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join their team in Austin, TX or remotely.
The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining a robust data infrastructure to support data-informed decision-making and enhance client services.
Key responsibilities include defining and implementing the overall data strategy, designing data models, developing data integration processes, and establishing data quality standards.
The Senior Data Engineer will monitor data pipelines, recommend optimizations, evaluate new data technologies, and ensure data security and privacy.
The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide engineering support while fostering a culture of learning.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or in a similar role.
Proficiency in SQL and cloud-based data platforms, particularly GCP or AWS, is essential.
Strong programming skills in SQL and Python are required, with experience in R preferred.
In-depth knowledge of version control systems such as GitHub and proficiency in Airflow for orchestration is necessary.
Experience with DBT or similar data transformation frameworks is required.
Familiarity with data governance, security, and privacy best practices is essential.
Candidates should understand data modeling, database design, and query optimization techniques.
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is required.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills are necessary.
The ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Experience with LLMs, machine learning concepts, CI/CD, Docker Deployments, and familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code practices will be considered a strong plus.
Certification in GCP or AWS is preferred but not required.
