Altimate AI is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to work remotely with an overlap in the US Pacific Timezone.
The company focuses on revolutionizing enterprise data operations through AI-driven solutions, including their flagship product, DataPilot.
The role involves building large-scale data pipelines, optimizing SQL, and developing cloud infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will enhance AI capabilities and integrate advanced AI into daily workflows for data teams.
Responsibilities include building PB scale data pipelines, designing cloud-native data infrastructure on AWS, and developing an intelligent SQL ecosystem.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in data engineering, specifically in building scalable data pipelines and systems.
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL is required.
Extensive experience with SQL query profiling, optimization, and performance tuning, preferably with Snowflake, is necessary.
A deep understanding of SQL Abstract Syntax Tree (AST) and experience with SQL parsers (e.g., sqlglot) for generating column-level lineage and dynamic ETLs is essential.
Experience in building data pipelines using Airflow or dbt is required.
A solid understanding of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, is optional but preferred.
Familiarity with Kubernetes (K8s) for containerized deployments is also optional.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $120,000, influenced by expertise, location, interview performance, and role fit.
Equity options range from 0.0% to 0.4%.
