Description:

  • The Senior Data Engineer position at Babylist involves powering data-driven decision-making across all aspects of the company's business.
  • The role focuses on data engineering, analysis, and data science, with an emphasis on building and scaling Machine Learning (ML) pipelines.
  • The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with product managers, analysts, data scientists, and various business functions to deliver data solutions that drive product growth and innovation at Babylist.
  • Responsibilities include building and optimizing data pipelines for seamless data ingestion, developing and maintaining ML pipelines, enhancing and scaling data systems, collaborating with Analytics Engineers, implementing data monitoring tools, and delivering end-to-end data solutions.
  • The position requires a proactive problem-solver with a strong focus on delivering high-quality solutions.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on production-grade coding, preferably in Python.
  • Proficiency with data orchestration tools like Airflow and dbt, along with a solid understanding of data modeling and ETL principles.
  • Experience in managing and deploying cloud data resources within the AWS ecosystem (EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS).
  • Familiarity with modern data warehousing systems like Snowflake and deploying and maintaining Machine Learning models in a production environment.
  • Ability to support data modeling initiatives and collaborate closely with Analytics Engineers.
  • Familiarity with data observability platforms like Monte Carlo for ensuring data integrity across platforms.
