• The role is for a Senior Data Engineer who will be a steward and champion for the firm's market and trading data archives and internal data products.
• The engineer will work with existing data pipelines and databases while designing and implementing the next generation of data and analytic capabilities.
• Responsibilities include developing high throughput, high volume distributed data architectures and automating data quality improvements.
• The engineer will also develop real-time data collectors, improve trading analytics systems, and create tools for data pipeline management.
• The role involves collaborating with traders and trading system developers to enhance data analysis requirements and improve data quality.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience using Python for data analysis and ad hoc tooling to analyze time series data sets and large data sets is required.
• Experience in developing real-time large-scale data pipelines, handling petabytes of data, is ideal.
• Proficiency with distributed, high-performance SQL and NoSQL database systems is necessary.
• A bachelor's degree (or above) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field with excellent results is required.
