Remote Senior Data Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for leading data onboarding workstreams with new customers/pilots/POCs.
• They will work directly with customers’ data teams on data interfaces, specifications, and integration projects.
• Design, implement, and maintain performance of reliable data pipelines and interfaces for various analytics applications.
• Develop ETL processes from various data streams using multiple consumption methods.
• Implement new data processing solutions to enable faster data analysis and insights.
• Create, implement, and maintain data transformation and validation processes.
• Support data architecture efforts for key analytics innovations involving internal and/or external stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a data engineer in ETL and data integration.
• 5+ years of experience in a client-facing consultation role with project management expertise.
• Strong experience in Python – Pyspark development and SQL querying of large, complex datasets.
• Proficiency in Databricks, Spark, Airflow, and Scala development.
• Experience working with retailer and supplier analytics data.
• Familiarity with Cloud platforms, with a preference for Azure.
• Knowledge in data integration design, development, and maintenance, data lakes/hubs.
• Result-driven, pragmatic, and innovative mindset.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and relevant educational background.
• Nice to have: experience with SingleStore, Snowflake, BI tools like PowerBI.
