Description:
The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for leading data onboarding workstreams with new customers/pilots/POCs.
They will work directly with customers’ data teams on data interfaces, specifications, and integration projects.
Design, implement, and maintain performance of reliable data pipelines and interfaces for various analytics applications.
Develop ETL processes from various data streams using multiple consumption methods.
Implement new data processing solutions to enable faster data analysis and insights.
Create, implement, and maintain data transformation and validation processes.
Support data architecture efforts for key analytics innovations involving internal and/or external stakeholders.
Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a data engineer in ETL and data integration.
5+ years of experience in a client-facing consultation role with project management expertise.
Strong experience in Python – Pyspark development and SQL querying of large, complex datasets.
Proficiency in Databricks, Spark, Airflow, and Scala development.
Experience working with retailer and supplier analytics data.
Familiarity with Cloud platforms, with a preference for Azure.
Knowledge in data integration design, development, and maintenance, data lakes/hubs.
Result-driven, pragmatic, and innovative mindset.
Experience with REST APIs, microservices, and relevant educational background.
Nice to have: experience with SingleStore, Snowflake, BI tools like PowerBI.
