The Senior Data Engineer will be a key contributor to the data engineering team, responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure.
The role involves shaping and implementing the data roadmap, ensuring data quality, governance, and security best practices.
The Senior Data Engineer will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other team members to drive business outcomes while fostering a positive team culture.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in data engineering.
Expertise in at least one high-level programming language such as Python, Julia, R, Matlab, or Go is required.
Familiarity with terraform, cloud logs, and SQL databases is necessary.
Experience with production systems and CI/CD processes is essential.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and have a bias for action.
Excellent listening and communication skills are required.
Regardless of experience, candidates should be able to communicate effectively with engineers, data scientists, and other business disciplines.
Strong social and emotional intelligence, empathy, and the ability to understand others' perspectives are important.
A passion for solving challenging problems and enabling a high-performing team is essential.
Benefits:
The position offers a competitive salary range of £75,000 - £105,000.
