Qodea is the largest Google Cloud-only digital consultancy in Europe, formed from the merger of Appsbroker and CTS in 2023.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for processing and analyzing large, complex data sets.
You will work in a collaborative and supportive team environment, delivering solutions that exceed customer expectations using cutting-edge tools and technologies.
The role primarily involves working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, although experience with other major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure) is acceptable.
This position is primarily remote, with the option to work from an office if preferred, and a 'Work from Anywhere' policy allowing overseas work for up to 3 months a year.
Responsibilities include developing automated data processing pipelines, implementing and maintaining databases, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with data scientists and analysts.

Requirements:

You must have experience in a technical leadership role and contribute to technical decision-making during projects.
A proven track record of involvement in diverse projects using various tools and technologies is required.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential for engaging with customers.
Significant experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is necessary.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle is required.
Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Hive is important.
Experience with data warehousing and ETL tools like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Apache Airflow is preferred.
Proficiency in Python and at least one other programming language (Java or Scala) is required.
A willingness to mentor junior team members is expected.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
