Description:

  • LivePerson is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator / Data Engineer to join their team in a remote position based in Germany.
  • The role involves designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure and systems necessary for the acquisition, storage, and processing of large volumes of data.
  • The primary focus will be on developing robust data pipelines, data warehouses, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to support the organization's data-driven initiatives.
  • Responsibilities include ensuring the security and integrity of data stored in databases, monitoring database performance, troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues, and performing database upgrades, patches, and migrations as needed.
  • The role also involves leading the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, utilizing advanced data modeling techniques to integrate complex data sources, and creating and maintaining optimal data pipeline architecture.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in a Data Engineer role working with Data Pipelines, databases, SQL, ETL, Airflow, and Kubernetes.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Python is required.
  • Experience in Apache Airflow is a must.
  • Candidates must have experience in DBT for data transformation.
  • Experience in Snowflake is considered a significant advantage.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Advanced SQL is required.
  • Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in public cloud (AWS or similar).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or another quantitative field is required.
