Remote Senior Data Engineer

Description:

• LivePerson is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator / Data Engineer to join their team remotely in Bulgaria.
• The role involves designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure and systems for acquiring, storing, and processing large volumes of data.
• Responsibilities include developing robust data pipelines, data warehouses, and ETL processes to support data-driven initiatives.
• The Data Engineer will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement scalable solutions for efficient data analysis and reporting.
• Key tasks include ensuring data security and integrity, monitoring database performance, troubleshooting database issues, performing upgrades and migrations, leading data governance implementation, enhancing dashboards and reporting, utilizing advanced data modeling techniques, advocating best practices, and collaborating cross-functionally.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to independently uncover insights and relationships across numerous datasets.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience analyzing data and creating dashboards and reports, with a preference for Power BI experience, is required.
• Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience interpreting and writing advanced SQL, preferably with Snowflake.
• Familiarity with Hadoop is necessary, as the company uses Vertica and Impala.
• Experience with database design, normalization, and optimization is required.
• The ability to work closely with teammates in a collaborative environment while also being a self-starter is essential.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are a must.
