  • The company is seeking its first-ever Data Engineer to join the team and shape the future of data at AxisCare.
  • The Data Engineer will design and manage the data lifecycle that powers AI, ML, BI, and other data-driven products.
  • This role requires a hands-on approach, diving deep into business challenges and crafting impactful solutions.
  • The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data infrastructure supports the mission to transform home health care.
  • The ideal candidate will be a natural leader, passionate about mentoring, and capable of translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong writing skills are essential due to the asynchronous and technically precise nature of the work.

  • Experience in creating scalable and robust data architectures with a strong grasp of the end-to-end data lifecycle is required.
  • The role demands a security-minded individual with extensive experience safeguarding sensitive customer data.
  • Candidates should be comfortable working independently and collaboratively in an evolving business environment.
  • Proven expertise in data engineering, including designing and optimizing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses, is necessary.
  • A strong background with data management, warehousing, and visualization tools like MySQL, Snowflake, Hevo, Fivetran, and Tableau is required.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential, along with comfort using bash and git.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern data architectures is expected.
  • A proactive, curious mindset is important, with a willingness to dig into the “why” behind requirements and challenge the status quo.
  • The position is remote, and candidates must live in the Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zones in the US and be qualified to work in the United States.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have experience in data engineering, including designing and optimizing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouses.
  • A strong background with data management, warehousing, and visualization tools like MySQL, Snowflake, Hevo, Fivetran, and Tableau is required.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential for this role.
  • Candidates should be comfortable using bash and git for version control.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and modern data architectures is necessary.
  • A security-minded approach with extensive experience in safeguarding sensitive customer data is required.
  • The candidate should possess strong writing skills to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive and curious mindset is essential, with the ability to challenge the status quo and dig into the underlying reasons behind requirements.
  • Experience in home health or healthcare and familiarity with HIPAA-compliant data systems would be a plus.
  • Candidates must be able to work remotely and live in the Eastern, Central, or Mountain time zones in the US.
